Ryan Reynolds, a resident of Bedford, turns 39 on Sunday.
Reynolds, an actor from British Columbia, was born Oct. 23, 1976.
In 1990 at age 14, Reynolds got his first acting role on a Nickelodeon-distributed Canadian teen soap called “Hillside.” He starred in more than 50 motion pictures. His most notable roles include “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder,” "Deadpool," “Definitely, Maybe,” and “The Green Lantern.”
People Magazine named him its “Sexiest Man Alive” in 2010. Reynolds is married to actress Blake Lively. The couple lives in Bedford with their daughter James.
